RVGA's 19th Annual Harvest Hoedown

VOLUNTEER (free food, ticket, and RVGA merchandise!)

• Our opening musicians are The Broken Heart Strings
• The Neon Moons return as our musical headliner. Enjoy live music and dancing with fun and engaging two-step and line dancing instruction. Whether you're an expert or a beginner, the dancing is guaranteed to be a lot of fun, even for kids!
• Kids will have a great time with activities, including face painting, pumpkin decorating, lambs for petting, and games
• We'll have classic, locally sourced Hoedown food, so bring your appetite
• Our cash bar will offer local craft beer, wine, and hard cider
• Enjoy our bake sale

The Day's Schedule:

• 2 PM: The Harvest Hoedown begins!
• 2 - 6 PM: Activities taking place all day
  • International Year of the Woman Farmer installation
  • Kids crafts, fun, and lambs for petting
  • Corn Hole
  • Bake sale
  • Cash bar
  • RVGA merchandise sale
• 3 - 5 PM: Supper served (see the menu below)
• 3 - 4: Live music with The Broken Heart Strings
• 4 - 4:15: International Year of the Woman Farmer with the office of County Executive Jen Metzger, and local farmers
• 4 - 5:45 PM: Live music with The Neon Moons and instructor-led two-step and line dancing
• 6 PM: Thank you and good night

Locally-Sourced Menu: (this is included in your ticket price)

• Pulled Pork
• Baked beans
• Coleslaw
• Potato salad
• Cornbread
• Garden salad
• Mac n' cheese
• Vegan dawgs

Cash Bar:

• Local craft beer
• Wine from La Fermentora
• Hard cider from Stone Ridge Orchard
• We'll also have non-alcoholic cider and water for sale

Let us know you're coming! Although we'll have tickets available at the door, we encourage you to purchase yours online by October 5, which will help us ensure the correct quantities for food and drink.

We rely on help from volunteers to join us in making the Hoedown a wonderful experience for everyone. If you would like to donate some of your time, you'll be given a complimentary T-shirt and ticket for this event (including supper) so you can enjoy the fun when you're off-shift.
